Broady Alive With Finals Fever

Once again we come to the business end of the regular season. Broady have played and supported superbly once again this season and it is a credit to all players, supporters and volunteers for the hard work that has been displayed throughout the year both on and off the park.

A special mention goes out to our Womens First Division who, with one remaining match versus Southport Monday, 23 August at Southport, have already wrapped up the minor premiership for 2010. Scoring a staggering 119 goals in 20 games with only two losses is an absolutely tremendous achievement and all the ladies involved must be congratulated!

The two men at the helm — Brendan Kimber and Andy Paterson have been instrumental in creating a disciplined and committed team, which has proven extremely competitive week-in, week-out.

In Senior Mens, our boys take to the field this Saturday, 21 August at Broady versus Runaway Bay in the final round of the season. Both Premier and Reserve Grades are fighting to secure second place — a win guaranteeing them a spot.

At this stage there will be a home semi-final in the coming weeks, so stay tuned for updates as all of our teams move into the finals series for 2010.
