2011 Junior Season Information

We have just about finalised team configurations for Broadbeach United Junior Soccer 2011 and pre-season training is about to start.

Our Under 14s actually start this week!

Under 12s, 13s teams and our 15 girls will begin formal training the week starting 28 February. Your exact training times will be sorted very shortly.

Under 6-11s start training from the week beginning 7 March.

We will be in touch shortly with team squads, coaches and managers.

Three things to do at this stage:

• Super Speed Shot: Our Super Speed Shot goal shoot-out is on Saturday 5 March from 9:30am to 11:30am at the club. All players have received their sponsorship form. The aim is to raise $50 in sponsorship each and then see how fast you can kick! This is a major fundraiser for the junior club and we need you to get behind it... it's a lot of fun! Prizes and awards for all who participate — but you need sponsorship to join in. If you need more info on what it is go to www.superspeedshot.com.au.
• Registration Fees: The sign-up rate has been great this year but there are a few people still to pay their registration fees. You can pay online or make a direct deposit to the club through the following account:

  Be sure to put the player's name in the subject field (i.e. 'John Smith Soccer Fees'), record the recepit number and e-mail it to me.
• Coaches and Managers: We are finalising coaches but need more, particularly parents willing to act as managers for their team. Those who have volunteered, thank you. We will be conducting grassroots coaching courses for those taking charge of the younger teams and the club will subsidise coaching courses for any parents who want more advanced skills. Our new Coaching Director Mark Munro will also take the coaches through the new FFA curriculum and skills development. If you are willing to help out as manager, coach, or assistant coach; e-mail me and we can get the ball rolling.
