Long Wait Over for GCPL Top Clash

Broadbeach Dolphins' 11-week wait to avenge their loss to arch rivals Southport is finally over as the two teams clash in the Gold Coast Premier League soccer competition today.

Southport were the first to beat the Dolphins this season, winning their Round 6 clash, 3-1.

Southport's scoreless draw with Nerang last start tipped them from top spot on the Premier League Soccer ladder, with Broadbeach taking the lead.

The return of injured pair Nori Uchimura and Adam Evans has bolstered the Dolphins side, with prolific scorer Uchimura back to his best after tearing his hamstring in the pre-season final.

The scene is set for a cracking clash with the Dolphins having won five in a row in the lead-up.

The Warriors are unbeaten in their past seven starts, although a pair of draws in the last month has affected their standing.
