Broadbeach Go for Soccer Hat-trick

Broadbeach Dolphins will today have the chance to cement their place in Gold Coast Soccer history when they take on Southport in the 2011 Premier League grand final at Carrara.

Not since the superb Southport side of the late 80s won four straight (1987-90) has any Gold Coast club completed a grand final treble.

Having held the grand final cup aloft in both 2009 and 2010 this afternoon's game against Southport gifts Broadbeach the chance to do what no club has done for more than 20 years.

The match will start at 4pm and is part of a huge weekend for Gold Coast Soccer with 32 grand finals from under 12s to the much anticipated Premier League clash, being played across two days at the Carrara Soccer Fields.
