Junior Under 12

We will field at least one, possibly two Under 12 teams in 2012 and there are vacancies. Players should be turning 12 in 2012 to play in this age group (therefore born 2000).

Under 12s move into what is known as ‘competition’ ranks for the first time. They play full-field, 11-a-side with up to four reserves, all the regular soccer rules such as offside. Teams play in different Divisions across the Coast and there are competition points and a finals series at the end of the season. Divisions are determined by grading games at the beginning of the season.

Coaching is more intense and more is demanded of the players. Games are played on Saturday mornings and there are one or two training sessions a week. Players must wear boots and shin pads, club socks and shorts. A team jersey is provided.

Sign-on day is 4-5 February 2012, at the Chelsea Avenue clubhouse Broadbeach. Training starts in late Feb/early March and the games start in April.
