Junior Under 14

Broadbeach plans to field a strong Under 14 team in 2012 (probably Div 2 or 3) and there are vacancies. Players should be turning 14 in 2012 to play in this age group (therefore born 1998).

Under 14s play ‘competition’ ranks which includes full-sized field, normal soccer rules etc. Teams play in different Divisions across the Coast and there are competition points and a finals series at the end of the season. Divisions are determined by grading games at the beginning of the season.

Coaching is more intense and a lot is expected of the players in terms of attendance and commitment. Games are played on Friday nights and there are usually two training sessions a week. Players must wear boots and shin pads, club socks and shorts. A team jersey is provided.

Sign-on day is 4-5 February 2012, at the Chelsea Avenue clubhouse Broadbeach. Training starts in March and the games start in April.
